Wattrex is a vertically-integrated EPC firm with offices in Qingdao (HQ), Paris, and Baghdad. We build utility-scale solar, agrivoltaic, and battery-storage projects in markets where conventional firms cannot underwrite the risk.

We were founded in 2017 by three engineers who had spent a decade building solar across MENA for European EPC contractors , and who could see that the biggest constraint in those markets wasn't the sun or the demand. It was a chain of intermediaries: brokers, agents, sub-EPCs, opaque procurement, opaque pricing.
So we built Wattrex differently. Engineering kept in-house. Procurement done from inside the supply chain. Local crews on every site, trained by us. One signed counterparty contract end-to-end. A finance team that speaks the same language as the lender's engineer.
The result is an EPC firm that can be underwritten on its own balance sheet, in markets where most contractors require a parent-company guarantee.

Most EPC firms are headquartered where their investors live. We are headquartered where the supply chain lives , and we have a local office in every market where we deliver.
Qingdao
Headquarters. Procurement, supply-chain engineering, and OEM negotiation. Sits inside the world's largest PV manufacturing ecosystem , that is the entire point.
Paris
Project finance, European banking relationships, RGPD-compliant data residency. The bridge between Qingdao's supply chain and IFC / EBRD / EIB term sheets.
Baghdad
Field operations centre for our flagship MENA market. Construction management, local supply chain, government liaison, training facility for the regional crew.
Run by engineers. Not by deal-makers.
The leadership team has each personally delivered an EPC project of more than 100 MW. We don't hire executives from outside the discipline.
